CAPA-BC Student National Showcase Oral Presentation Evaluation Rubric

Each project will have two scores, part A is for project overview with two criteria, and part B for presentation and delivery with two criteria. We are using 1-5 scale for each category, 5 is the highest score, 1 is the lowest score. The highest score of one project is 20.


Flawed: 1

Basic: 2

Average: 3

Good: 4

Excellent:  5


1. For Community Service and Civic Engagement Projects:


  1. Project score with two criteria:  


Significance and Innovation (1-5 points): Impact to the community in a comprehensive and engaging manner, addressing challenges facing by community, novel ideas and approach


Execution plan (1-5 points): Steps taken to implement the project, demonstrating feasibility (prior work, time etc.), address potential pitfalls and provide solutions, reasonable time points;


The project overall score will add the scores from each criterion. 


  1. Presentation and Delivery with two aspects:


Clarity/articulation with passion and enthusiasm (1-5 points);


Response to questions (1-5 points)


The project overall score will add the scores from each criterion. 



2. For Entrepreneur Business Plan Projects:


  1. Project score with two criteria:  


Significance and innovation (1-5 points): Articulates the business goals, methods, and their direct alignment with addressing a specific market need, innovation of the business plan
